Bugsella is a charity project founded in 2008 by Julie Peng. At the time, Julie had a full-time job and a family with 2 young children to care for. Feeling the need to contribute to the community but not have the time to do so, she did the next best thing -- design, produce and sell baby onesies, and donate the proceeds to charity. Since then, the line of goods from Bugsella have expanded and continues to grow, as she is constantly inspired by her children and her surrounding. Most of her products are designed for children, such as organic quilts and crayon rolls, and there are also goods with adults in mind, like organic totes and gadget cases.

Bugsella strives to be...

...socially responsible. Aside from monetary support to various causes, Bugsella products are made with material that was fair traded or organic wherever possible. For a list of past and present beneficiaries, please see our "Who We Help" page.

...environmentally responsible. Most of our products are made with organic, sustainable, natural, recycled or repurposed material. Other products are designed as an eco-friendly alternative to their conventional counterparts.  Bugsella have also donated to Carbonfund.org to support their efforts in offsetting carbon footprints.
